Nicola McGoff

Nicola is an ecologist, an outdoor explorer, a mother, and a writer. Being from Ireland by birth and from Virginia by tenure, lush green land underfoot has been a constant in her life. She is compelled in her work to study the smallest creatures and to decipher meaning from the living landscapes that surround us. At times she is known to jump into cold water for fun, sees laughter as the best medicine, and knows that kindness is everything. Her poetry, essays, and upcoming book explore the connections between nature, place, and memory.
